Okay. So, I know what you’re thinking. It’s May and not the new year but this is my first blog post of 2017!
I’m a little late to the game but I took the beginning of the year to deal with some personal things and work on, not only my health but also my mental health. I’ve been reading quite a bit but not writing many reviews.
That changes NOW! I’m so glad to be back to writing reviews and taking part in all things mental health and book related! I’ve missed it so much but I knew that I needed to work on a few things for me before I ventured back into the world of blogging.
A lot has happened so far this year. I turned 29, which is one year away from never being young again. ( I’m completely joking. )
I also got my license 4 days after turning 29! It’s a huge accomplishment for me because I was always so worried that it would never happen because of the amount of anxiety I have. I can’t put into words how proud I am of myself for jumping the hurdle and succeeding. I couldn’t have done it without my incredible teacher from Young Drivers, though. He was a huge stepping stone in me reaching my goals.
It’s May which means that on the 20th I am flying to Toronto to meet SARAH J MAAS!!!
The ACOTAR series played a huge role for me when I was first being diagnosed with BPD. It was the first thing that made me feel something when I was in the blackest of holes. It will forever and always be my all time favorite series. Having the opportunity to meet and thank Sarah in person is something I have dreamed of for a very long time. It’s truly going to be a once in a lifetime opportunity. I will absolutely cry salty tears of happiness and joy.
If you follow me on Twitter, you will also know that I now have two, very large, Great Dane puppies that have joined the family! I have a post I’m going to be writing about animals and mental health. They have been incredible to have around the home and they adore our family so much. They are my giant 90-pound lap dogs who will only get bigger as time goes on! Aren’t they just so cute?
It’s going to be an amazing year and I can’t wait to share with all of you my thoughts on some amazing books I have read and will be reading. I want to share my personal struggles and battles with my BPD and mental health.
You guys rock and I’m so happy to be here again.
