Reality is only an illusion.Except for those who can control it…
Worst. Birthday. Ever.
My first boyfriend dumped me—happy birthday, Josie!—my dad is who knows where, I have some weird virus that makes me want to hurl, and now my ex is licking another girl’s tonsils. Oh, and I’m officially the same age as my brother was when he died. Yeah, today is about as fun-filled as the swamps of Dagobah. But then weird things start happening…
Like I make something materialize just by thinking about it.
When hottily-hot badass Reid Wentworth shows up on a motorcycle, everything changes. Like, everything. Who I am. My family. What really happened to my brother. Existence. I am Oculi, and I have the ability to change reality with my thoughts. Now Reid, in all his hotness, is charged with guiding and protecting me as I begin learning how to bend reality. And he’s the only thing standing between me and the secret organization that wants me dead…

‘Oh, for the love of Khan!’

This is my FIRST book blog tour, and I am SO excited to be participating. To make this even more exciting, I had an amazing experience – I LOVED ‘Anomaly’. I had my doubts in the beginning. I was worried from what I had read that it would be one of those books that are filled with a TON of romance. ( Don’t get me wrong, some romance is great – I just don’t want it every 10 pages. ) It had just the perfect amount of romance and a TON of action.

The story in this book, the adventure, keeps you hooked. When a book can keep me hooked right from the beginning,  I am an EXTREMELY happy reader. On top of how amazing the book is, ALL of the geek put into this book, is the BEST thing ever! Star Wars, Star Trek, Wolverine, and SO MUCH MORE. This book sings to my geek/nerdy soul in such a great way. ( Also – Tonya has a Twitter and responds to her fans. You should follow her! She’s awesome. )

Josie is an interesting girl. A geeky girl, with great friends at school and even a boyfriend. That is, until her birthday, when he dumps her. At least, she still has some friends to try and keep her positive. ( Which includes giving her The Big Bang Theory cupcakes for her birthday. ) Her father has been gone for a while, and her mother, brother and herself haven’t heard from him in quite some time. On top of all of this, she hasn’t been feeling well. While sitting outside the school with some friends, two wickedly attractive boys show up on Motorcycles and toss her world upside down. As Josie would say, ‘Oh, for the love of Khan!’.

Reid and Santos pull up at the school, knowing their mission.  To help Josie realize and accept what she is – an Anomaly. The nausea and migraines she has been having are due to her abilities starting to surface. They are here to guide her and teach her about the people who are just like her.

The adventure in this book is awesome. I LOVED it, and I can’t wait for the second book!!

I give this lovely book 5/5 stars!
