When We Collided

Before I go on with this post, I'm going to toss a trigger warning on this. For someone struggling with their own mental health, it might be a bit too much. If the subject of being bipolar can bother/trigger you, I would avoid this until you're ready. There are times when reading that you pick up a book about a subject, and end up hating it. Not because the book itself is bad, but because the facts are completely wrong. This book had me crying because it felt so right. It's not a typical book where someone mentions a character having bipolar, and then it focuses on all of the bad that comes along with struggling with your mental health. Don't...

An interview with Julia Ember

Welcome to the Sunday Street Team guys! I'm so excited to be a part of this, and I always find myself coming across some amazing books. This one is no exception. This past Tuesday, Unicorn Tracks was released and I have heard nothing but amazing things. I had the chance to ask Julia Ember some questions about her first novel Unicorn Tracks, and she had some fantastic answers. Be sure to check out Unicorn Tracks and fall in love with the story like so many others. Plus that cover is perfect. Thanks Julia for answering some questions!     What made you go in the direction you did with this book? That’s a great question because there were a lot of determining factors! When I started...

Waiting on Wednesday #7

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly post that allows book bloggers to share books we're waiting for- Hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. I just learned about this week's book a few days ago, and after looking at it on Goodreads, I know it's one I want to read when it comes out. This is one of the reasons I love following so many bloggers on Twitter; I find books that I didn't know about!   And I Darken by Kiersten White Expected publication: July 7th 2016 by Corgi Childrens   Goodreads summary:  No one expects a princess to be brutal. And Lada Dragwyla likes it that way. Ever since she and her brother were abandoned by their father to be raised in the Ottoman sultan’s courts, Lada has...

Top Ten Tuesday – Top Ten Books You Should Check Out – Graphic Novels

Top Ten Tuesday is put on by the wonderful humans over at The Broke and Bookish. This top ten was hard for me. I didn't quite know what to do for this one, and I noticed a few people on Twitter said the same thing. My genre of books and taste tend to change with my mood, but one thing always stays the same - I love a good graphic novel. I love graphic novels, and Image Comics tends to be my go-to when it comes to finding new reads, but there are many different publishers out there with many different adventures for you to take. I changed the title of this around a bit because I feel like if you're a graphic...

Outrun The Moon

WARNING - There are some spoilers in this. Continue at your own risk. It has been a long time since I have read a book which such beautiful writing that it just sucked me into it so effortlessly. I received this book from Penguin Teen while I was in Toronto and I picked it up Sunday morning. By Sunday evening, I had finished it and fallen in love over and over with it. It's written in such a beautiful manner. The story grabs you by the hands and pulls you into it. It holds your hands, takes you on an adventure, teaches you things and makes your feelings hurt. It's wonderful. All Mercy wanted was an education. She wanted to start a...

Waiting on Wednesday #6

Another week, another Wednesday!    In the past weeks, I have read a lot of books from Harlequin Teen. It's a publisher I didn't dive into much before and I want to put my feet into in and check out some more titles that have been released but that are also releasing in the next few months. I've seen a few people mention this book and it's caught my attention over the past week or two. It sounds intriguing and I know I am going to be picking up a copy at the end of the month. I really love the cover as well!     Heir to the Sky by Amanda Sun Expected publication: April 26th 2016 by Harlequin TEEN   What are you waiting on this Wednesday?...

Top Ten Tuesday #4 – Bookish People You Should Follow on Twitter

Top Ten Tuesday is put on by the wonderful humans over at The Broke and Bookish. This Top Ten Tuesday has to be my favorite one I have done. I love chatting with lots of amazing people on Twitter, bookish or not. Some of my favorite people are the ones who have helped me grow as a book blogger and as a person. Some of these lovely people are the ones who are the quickest to ask what's wrong, lend an ear, and offer support be it book related or life. They have fantastic opinions on books and if they love something, I am more inclined to grab that book. I check out their feeds daily and follow along with what...

BLOG TOUR – The Mirror King

Let's take a moment to remember the emotions and tissues needed at the end of The Orphan Queen.      Book two is almost here and I was so lucky to have the chance to read the arc. The Orphan Queen left us all with so many questions and wondering what was going to happen to our beloved Tobiah. I remember finishing The Orphan Queen and just crying. It took me a while to recover from my feelings, and things didn't change this time around. The amount of emotion and feelings in this book is absolutely perfect. A great combination mixed together that's going to have you raving about it for a long time. The world in both of these books is  incredible. I...
