  First off, I must say, being Canadian I love to read Canadian writing. I had a goal to read more Canadian writing this year, and I am glad I read this book. I knew, when I read the description of this book, that this book was going to be a hard one to read. Sometimes, the hardest books to read, the are ones that need to be read. This lovely book touches on many conversations, and topics, that we as people sometimes tend to avoid in life. It brings to life the harsh reality that some people face daily.
