Tonya Kuper

Last night, I got to hang out with Tonya Kuper and some fellow fans on Google Hangouts and it was absolutely amazing, fun and full of adorable! How much adorable? 'Oh my Guardians of the galaxy' adorable! Tonya is the author of 'Anomaly' which was the very first book I had the opportunity to review. It is published by Entangled Teen, and you can find my review of the book here. She is so amazing with her fans, great to interact with, and a big fangirl like me! From Star Wars, Star Trek, Sherlock - and so much more. I had the chance to ask some fun and serious questions and I am going to share some of those with you!   Who would you...

Fairest

"The fairest queen that Luna had ever known."   I preordered my copy of 'Fairest' from Chapters, and it came to me almost a week before it was due out. Tuesday! I was SO excited. I opened it up, and the first thing I noticed was the inside cover. It is absolutely stunning. The illustration of the castle on Luna is absolutely breathtaking. I remember reading Cinder and Scarlet and wanting to know so much more about Queen Levena. This book gives it all to you, from her childhood, until the moment she decides she needs earth in her grasp. It starts out at the beginning with the death of her parents, and how they treated her like she was a burden. We meet Cinders...

Ward Against Disaster

Pre-Order Links:      Amazon│Barnes & Noble│Kobo Books│iBooks Books in this series: (click cover for Goodreads)   About the Author: I have always been drawn to story telling. In fact, I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t telling a story in my head or on paper. In grade school, we had journal writing time which I turned into story telling time, weaving tales of magic and adventure that mimicked the fairy tales and myths that I loved to read. It was there, with the help of two very special teachers, that I nurtured this love and started my journey as a writer. I write fantasy, paranormal romance, and everything in between, seasoned with a good dash of adventure and mystery. Join me on my tales of...

The Truth About Alice

I didn't know what to expect when I purchased this book - I read the description and it could of went in so many directions. It is an extremely well written book, coming from different points of views and showing how rumors can affect a teenagers life, or anyones life for that matter. The book is written from the point of view of 4 teens who all go to the same school - Elaine, Josh, Kurt and Kelsie. From each point of view, you see how the rumors spread, and the story of Alice develops throughout the book. Considering it was only 200 pages, and had 4 point of views, it was easy to follow and you didn't get confused. When everything...

A moms letter to Scholastic

The beginning of this week has been emotional for me and I needed to write this. My youngest daughter Trinity, who is 6, brought home her normal 3 book orders from Scholastic. I got so excited, not just for her, but for me. I realized just how much I look forward to her bringing them home, so I can order books too. So I snapped a photo of the orders, and posted it to Twitter with this caption, 'One if the greatest parts of my childhood, and now a great part of being a parent.' Then the greatest thing happened. Not only did Scholastic Canada and US favorite and retweet me, Mercer Mayer did as well! Mercer Meyer! The man who has made...
